"Business Reborn Thanks to Incubator"

By Ron May

Business reborn thanks to incubator

Lawrence Borgens returned to hometown Stockton in 1993 after four years in the Marines, civilian security training and experience with a private investigator firm in Santa Rosa, and guarding entertainers in Los Angeles.  At that time he started his own business, Delta Protective Services, with one employee -- himself.  As he gained clients and hired employeess, he outgrew his home office in 1995.  He moved his fledgling busines into the Chamber Business Incubator to take advantage of the inexpensive space, consulting support, access to a receptionist and use of a conference room.
